AEON's 1st Virtual Zumba into Malaysia's Book of Records

KUALA LUMPUR 21 April -  AEON CO. (M) BHD. (AEON Malaysia) has set another milestone as the nation’s record holder for organising the 'Largest Participation In A Virtual Zumba Event' by The Malaysia Book of Records following its virtual Zumba event held on 28 March 2021.

 

With 1,943 participants, the event, themed “One Zumba. One Move. One Kita' was AEON Malaysia’s first virtual Zumba which was open to all ages nationwide. 

 

It was led by Zumba instructors Joelle Teh from Fitness First and Annie Tan from Celebrity Fitness in two sessions that lasted one hour each session via Zoom. 

 

The uniqueness of the event was the instrumental tunes choreographed beautifully with the Zumba moves. 

 

The music was played by stylo violinist, Aqmal Daniel and saxophonist, Zoro.

 

Chief Operating Officer of AEON Malaysia, Sunny Setiawan said, the virtual zumba event was part of AEON Malaysia’s 'Piece of Love' campaign which was launched to express the support, admiration and gratefulness towards Malaysia’s hard-working health frontliners.

“The Piece of Love campaign’s objective is also to inspire Malaysians to adopt healthy physical activities and to continuously create special memories with their loved ones,” he said in a statement.

 

In collaboration with 14 brands, AEON Malaysia conducted two phases of digital marketing sales prior to the event, with ticket sales made available through MyAEON apps from 9 to 24 March 2021, followed with exclusive sales for selected merchants. 

 

For every ticket priced at RM15 sold, AEON will donate one box of Harriston chocolates to the frontliners, with the participants also received the chocolate box of equal value.

 

Among participating brands were Fitness First, Celebrities Fitness, Giorno Mimosa, Zenxin, Callie, Citrex, Blackmores, Heal, Joseristine, Harada, Tsubaki, who joined new partners such as Mary Kay, Other Planet and Uniquecom.

 

Zumba is a total-body cardio and aerobic workout, which provides a large calorie consumption. It is also credited for helping senior participants to build strength, improve motion and posture as well as provides a platform for socialising. - DagangNews.com
